New Brighton Wedding

New Brighton is a city in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. It is a suburb of the Twin Cities. The population was 22,206 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 18.4 km (7.1 mi). 17.2 km (6.6 mi) of it is land and 1.2 km (0.4 mi) of it (6.35%) is water. New Brighton has generally gently rolling glacial terrain, with it being mostly flat, with a few basins. New Brighton is very prone to potholes.

New Brighton has many parks. The largest city park is Richard J. Hansen Park. Hansen Park was built on top of a former marshland. Due to the high water table in the park, it has suffered from building foundations moving and drainage problems. The main bike path through the park was once an old road. The areas of oak trees that are on the small rises above the main bike path and hockey rinks, are remnants of the original oak forest that was there, sitting above the once wetland.
